APPLICATIONS OF COMPUTERS

             Computers have a wide variety of applications. This is why, they are found almost in every sphere of our life. 

          As you all must be aware, computers now a days are being used almost in every department. They are used to do the work at greater speed and accuracy. Computer have found so many places to work because of its special and super features. It is becoming more and more popular because it is very fast and makes our work easy.

COMPTERS IN SCHOOLS

Nowadays most of the schools introduced Computer Science as a subject. As a result computers are being used in the schools. Subjects like Maths, English, Science are also taught through computers in many schools. Apart from these, computers are also used by teachers and school staff to prepare results, staff salaries, time table, etc.

COMPUTERS AT RAILWAY STATION/AIRPORTS

The air and railway ticket reservations are being done through computers. Computers help in providing all kinds of details related to train/flight timings, air or rail fare, list of passengers, destinations, etc. Computer also helps the pilots and the ground staff to remain in contact while the flight is in the air. It also tells the pilot how high the plane is and how far they have travelled.

COMPUTERS IN BANKS

Most of the banks have been computerized to get speedy and accurate banking work. Computers in banks maintain the record of accounts holders in a systematic way.

 COMPUTERS IN HOSPITALS

Computers in hospitals are used to maintain the records of patients. They also help the doctors in diagnosing and monitoring the recovery of patients.

Many offices have computers for their day –to-day work. In an office, computers are used for a variety of work like typing letters, making reports, making budgets, preparing salary slips and balance sheets, etc.

Computers simplify the shopkeeper’s work by maintaining and updating the price list of all the items and stock of goods kept in the shop.

COMPUTERS AT HOMES

Computers are used at homes for many purposes like money planning, keeping the record of house bills, sending E-mails, on-line purchases, chatting, video- calling etc.

COMPUTERS FOR ENTERTAINMENTS

Computers are also great entertainers. It provides entertainment to all ages and groups . We can watch movies, listen to the music, do picture drawing on computers. Many  computer games are available which are liked by children.

Computers are used in scientific laboratories for forecasting weather, launching rockets, etc.

COMPUTERS IN MEDIA WORLD

Computers are extensively used in making advertisements, films, cartoons, T.V. serials, etc. They help in newspaper printing and broadcasting news on T.V. also.

COMPUTER IN DEFENCE

Computers are very useful for defence services. Working of missiles, fighter planes, etc. depend on the working of compters.
